Handmade Christmas Card Workshop

$390.00

*

We still fondly miss the era of paper Christmas cards—when we would personally walk into a bookstore, taking time to search for a card that truly captured the essence of the recipient. It was sitting under gentle evening light, carefully choosing each word, writing from the depths of our hearts line by line. It was one soul opening up, greeting, and blessing another—a depth of warmth that copy-and-pasting an e-card today can never replicate.

With Christmas just around the corner, we have launched a Handmade Christmas Card Workshop.

Offering diverse artistic mediums—from Nagomi Pastel Art (日本和諧粉彩) to custom-designed programs tailored for individuals or corporate/group needs—we hope to reawaken the innate capacity for love within each of us, conveying deeper, more meaningful intentions.

Wonderland Art Healing

Find Your Real Self
Draw The Hidden You

Christmas cards originated from early monochrome printing, evolving by the 1920s to embrace vibrant colors and sound. With technological advancements in computers and smartphones, Christmas cards gradually transitioned into digital e-cards, shifting from hand-to-hand gifting to digital dissemination.

There are various accounts regarding the origin of Christmas cards. One popular story traces back to 1844, when Queen Victoria and the Prince of Wales celebrated Christmas at Windsor Castle in London, inviting royal children to a banquet with invitations printed with festive blessings. Inspired by this gesture, people across Europe adopted the custom of exchanging cards inscribed with warm wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

More definitively, in 1864, Prince Albert of the UK printed one thousand illustrated Christmas cards and sent them around the world to promote the holiday spirit. From then on, the tradition of sending Christmas cards gained widespread popularity.

Wonderland Art Healing

The Greatest Gift

At its heart, the true essence of a Christmas card extends beyond festive joy; it lies in sending heartfelt blessings and expressing affectionate longing to friends and family.

The greatest gift of Christmas is reuniting with those held close in your heart.

Why Us?

Our Founder and Creative Director, Vanessa Lee, is a Hong Kong native with an insatiable thirst for art and nature. During the workshop, Vanessa will teach everyone how to present the feeling of nature in the creative process and heal themselves through painting.

Although each workshop presents something new, it emphasizes healing our psychical self: creating art that perfectly matches our dreams rather than what others see as achievement.

At Wonderland, our passion for art starts with nature – like when we arrive at the art place to hunt out the best stems and foliage we can find. Working with nature and soul has always been important to us and we’ve been doing the creation wherever possible for over “a decade”.

We are, and always have been, committed to finding ethical, sustainable solutions to the challenges within our industry.
