Horses, with their profound spirituality, were never truly viewed as mere vehicles by the ancients, even after domestication. Instead, they were used as metaphors for people, symbolizing loyalty, righteousness, and gentlemanly virtues.
In people's hearts, a good horse is always an ideal version of themselves: sincere, free-spirited, and eternally young.
Horses also represent the passage of time. Zhuangzi's saying, "Life between heaven and earth is like a white horse flashing past a crack," speaks of a miniature white horse symbolizing life, always appearing only briefly, leaping and bounding through the gaps of time.
Yes, we can't control time. But time can't take away the young pony in our hearts. The Moving Sand Painting Healing Workshop is one of our favorite workshops. Burning Foil painting, carrying the weight of a thousand years of history, is a treasure of traditional Chinese culture. The foil firing process is the most fascinating aspect, making the patterns on each piece unique.
Therefore, the works possess a distinctive metallic texture and lustrous colors, giving them high artistic value.
Burning Foil painting doesn't literally mean "burning." You can't use an open flame because the metal foil is fragile; it would simply burn to ash. Instead, it involves heat treatment or a chemical reaction to create colors it didn't initially possess.
Therefore, foil painting is a mixed-media painting technique. We'll cover all the tools, steps, and techniques involved in foil painting, as well as the special methods for applying the foil. Even beginners will find it incredibly easy!
